About
The current focus of my work is on the connection of ICT policy, education reform and economic development. I've written extensively and consulted on this topic with ministries of education and education agencies in Singapore, Thailand, India, Chile, Norway, Jordan, and Egypt. I've also consulted on this topic with the World Bank, UNESCO, OECD, Intel, Cisco, and Microsoft. I've done volunteer work in east Africa--Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania--on the impact of technology on grassroots, rural development.
Earlier in my career, I conducted research and wrote extensively on instructional innovation, media theory, instructional design using advanced technologies, and multiple respresentations in science education, particularly chemistry. I've also conducted large-scale evaluations of technology-based reforms in the US and internationally.
